ModCloth's Colouring Book

Are we ever too old for colouring books? I think not. This one from ModCloth would occupy me for hours. Or, if I felt too lazy, I would just frame the prints just as they are. How cute would the giraffe look in a kid’s room?

Between the Lines, $19.99, ModCloth

Ready for colour, $19.99, ModCloth

Starting with some black & white, $19.99, ModCloth

Hello Lonny!

If you haven’t already heard, issue 4 of Lonny magazine is now online. Lonny’s many pages are full of delightful interiors, interesting articles, and great art. I’ve been a fan since issue 1 and although I still prefer the texture of magazines (as in the ever-popular Domino), Lonny has been a wonderful addition to my online reading adventures.

Here are some of the white pieces I bookmarked as I “flipped” through the pages of this online treasure.

Elsa Peretti thumbrint bowl, $175, Tiffany & Co.

White flower stool, $390, Green with Glamour

Pail, $22, The Laundress

Shag pouf, $385, Calypso

Ostrich brush, $60, Caldrea

Globo di Luce pendant (in silver), $93-$1332, Design Within Reach

Folding bird house, $50, MOMA

Ceramic countertop compost pail, $32, Williams Sonoma

Many of these products come in other colours so if you’re not in love with white (gasp!) then you might want to check out the other options.

The Friday Five: Garbage Bins

Although the name may vary – wastepaper basket, garbage can, trash bin – the function of this object remains the same. There are plenty of affordable (and not-so-affordable) options out there for your home office, kitchen, bathroom and craft room. Here’s a little peak into the world of garbage bins.

Bin Bin Rubbish bin, AUD$79.95, Kikki-K

White at LG Fashion Week in Toronto

Fashion wasn’t the only thing in the spotlight at LG Fashion Week in Toronto last week. The white decor at the CNE’s Allstream Centre was much talked about. I was smitten as soon as I entered the building. Although the shows weren’t housed in a typical white tent, this venue was comfortable, clean, spacious and made all the more lovely with white feathers, lamps and pretty paper dresses.

Chocolates for April

It’s April and that means chocolate! (Well…Who am I kidding? Every month means chocolate, doesn’t it?)

Welcome to April!

I love the packaging on these Happy and Sweet chocolate bars by Kanella. Hopefully they taste as good as they look!

Moroccan Wedding Blankets

I am loving the sparkles on this Moroccan wedding blanket from Table Tonic. This Australian online store also carries the most delightful hand embroidered Mexican suzanis in all the colours of the rainbow. I’m most drawn to the white blankets and pillows…of course. Louise, of Table Tonic, is continuing to bring in new items, so be sure to check back often.

Wake up to this Alarm Clock

Well, it’s Monday again. I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! I always find it hard to get up on a Monday morning after a couple of days of relaxation. It’s especially difficult during Spring Forward – Daylight Savings Time! We lost an hour of sleep this past weekend. Sigh. Putting this alarm clock to work may help with difficult mornings. I just love the simplicity of this very functional gadget.

Umbra's Fish Home

I am absolutely in love with this fish home. It is perfect for my fighting fish, T2. Although it’s a teeny tiny pet, there’s no reason why my little guy shouldn’t have a lofy fish condo of his own. Teddy Luong’s design is modern and Canadian!

Floating on Air

No, it’s not my birthday. This picture by Pia Ulin is too good to hang onto until July (my actual birthday month!).

It's all about the balloons

Or, if I just installed this balloon lamp, it could feel like my birthday year-round!

Dove: Simply Clean, Simply White

Sometimes it’s the littlest things that make our days brighter. Noone can argue with a no-fuss soap that’s easy on the skin and on the wallet.
