The lovely life-sized origami-style Folder chairs by designer Stefan Schoning are assembled by folding them just like an origami creation. How cool is that?

The ‘Folder’ can withstand your weight since it is made from paper-thin polypropylene, which means the look is very cool and the construction lightweight, rigid and tough. The chairs more durable than wood, plastic or metal and have been exhibited around the world: the National Design Museum in NY, Nike Design Library in Oregon, Colette in Paris, Salone Satellite in Milan, and 100% Design in London, UK.

What’s not to love?

Travel: Florida Vacation

This past weekend I made a quick trip to Florida and boy-oh-boy was it worth it! I was hesitant to spend the money on a flight (did anyone follow my decision making on Twitter?) since I was just in Florida last month but I am so glad I decided to go. Four days of sunshine, ocean swims, and shopping trips (not to mention meals cooked by my parents and nightly ice cream snacks), made me feel so spoiled. I’m so grateful I had the chance to go!

The Friday Five: Here I Go Again

I’m gearing up for a few weeks of travel…beginning with a trip back to Florida…today! Hooray! I am so looking forward to some quality beach time so let’s hope the sun continues to shine!

Here are some thoughts about my trip – with the help of Mark Addison Smith‘s amusing illustrations:

So…here I go, off to the United States again…

I am using only a carry-on for this short escape so I have only packed two outfits and two swim suits because…

I haven’t packed any lotions, gels, drinks or food because I’m not sure if…

I hope that when I come back in a few days people might say to me…

because I’ll have a tan.

Right?
