Hotel to Home: Ritz Carlton Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico

Today we’re heading south to the Ritz Carlton Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico. Bring on the sunshine and warmth! The Ritz Carlton Dorado Beach has plenty of beautiful spaces, but it was the simplicity of this hallway that really inspired me to write this hotel to home post.

Design: The White Beach House

If you ask me, there’s no better colour for a beach house than white. These beach-side/lake-side/water-side interiors have the prettiest palettes of whites, which keeps them looking serene and easy all day long.

Design: McKinley Burkart Architecture

I don’t know how Instagram algorithms work, but sometimes the fancy behind-the-scenes technology really works in my favour. Recently, Instagram introduced me to the work of McKinley Burkart. This architecture and interior design firm, which has studios in Calgary and Vancouver, has an extensive portfolio of beautiful restaurants, retail, residential, and work spaces.

Design: A Notting Hill Kitchen

This kitchen in Notting Hill, UK has so many stunning details. The marble, the moulding, the brass, and the floors have all caught my eye. And since there’s already a Bialetti espresso maker in place, I can basically move in. Yup. I could!

Hotel to Home: Le Sirenuse, Positano, Italy

You don’t need to twist my arm to get me back to Italy. Let’s go take a peek inside one of the rooms in Positano’s Le Sirenuse.

Le Sirenuse

The bright white room remains simple with white linens and slipcovers, and has a few wood pieces and colourful pillows to break up the white. You don’t need much in a room like this because the real focus is the beautiful views of the ocean!

If you’re looking to recreate this feeling in your own bedroom (or living room, actually!), you might be inspired by this:
