I have said for years that one year, I would forego all of my treasured ornaments from my travels in favour of an all-white Christmas tree. Each year, though, I can’t resist decorating my tree with my colourful ornaments. A cowboy boot from Dallas mixed in with a mini Vespa from Rimini with a side of clover-leaf angels from Ireland…how could I keep these sweet ornaments packed away?
That said, there are plenty of other opportunities to decorate with white each year. Wouldn’t a collection of white Christmas trees look festive on a sideboard or a fireplace mantel? Or even spread throughout a house? These 12 Christmas trees are delightful!
Are these pasta ornaments great or are they great?
Crate & Barrel will donate $10 from each purchase of this set to Food Banks Canada or Feeding America.
Since it’s December 1st and I’ve started to publish gift guides, I think it’s officially acceptable to share ideas about holiday decor. These spaces are certainly festive! Each is magical in white in its own particular way.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
Earlier this week, a colleague asked me if I had a white Christmas tree. Truth revealed – while I do have quite a few white ornaments, I mostly embrace a traditional green and red colour scheme at Christmas. I keep my decorations tame, but I do not shy away from these classic colours. I can’t yet bring myself to go all-white because I really like having a real tree in the house for the month of December. Surprised?
What do you think about having a non-traditional tree? Would you go for a white or black version?
