The Friday Five: Beautiful Books

Yes – we all know I’m a sucker for books. I’ve got books in every room in my apartment (and I’ve actually read most of them too!) and I just love them all (if that doesn’t sound like an academic, I don’t know what does). I’ve been browsing the bookstores often lately and there are some really gorgeous, high-quality books currently on the market. Publishers like Taschen and Phaidon produce just beautifully clean books and I always get so much pleasure reading them – and then looking at them stacked up on a table or bookshelf. The five books featured here have easily grabbed my attention – because they’re white, yes – but also because they provide so much inspiration.

I love books like these. I actually have the Family Meal one, signed by Ferran Adria himself when he was in NYC. Taschen and Phaidon are great publishers. Theirinterior design books always inspired me to travel, as I’d look through the pages in Sydney and dream of New York apartment living!

Thanks Marina. So the Family Meal one is not just another pretty book…it’s good too!?! 🙂

Yes! My husband enjoys it! (he’s the cook, and I got it for him. A big Ferran Adria fan esp. of his molecular gastronomy!)

I totally would buy these just because they’re such pretty books;) And I love white… They would be beautiful in my kitchen as accent books! Please, Santa!

I know – so many uses – first you can read them and then you can proudly display them. What a winning combo!
