Snow in July: A visit to the Matterhorn

A few weekends ago, I had the amazing experience of visiting the Matterhorn (i.e., the mountain on the package of the Toblerone chocolate bar). It was an incredible day and I was completely overwhelmed by the beauty of this enormous mountain as well as by the village of Zermatt at the base.

While on my hike down from the Gornergrat, I came across some snow. While other people were building rocky Inukshuks, I decided to bring out the Canadian in me and built a couple of white snowman. It was a happy moment!

The Friday Five: Switzerland

Greetings from Switzerland! Today’s Friday Five is a collection of white beauties from my travels in this country of cows, clocks and chocolate.

Even though the mountains are shades of green, there is still plenty of whiteness that is catching my eye so please stay tuned for more white goodies from La Suisse.
