inVU Drapery Co.

A few weeks ago I got the chance to finally – yes, finally – visit inVU Drapery Co. in person. This company has been good to us here at White Cabana (remember this giveaway) so I feel a bit ashamed that I hadn’t visited one of their stores. Well, I’m happy to report that it didn’t disappoint.

In addition to the colourful Cobi Ladner line, and a great selection of fabrics in various textures and colours, inVU Drapery Co. carries wonderful white fabrics and curious, quirky and classic accessories for the home. Here are some photos from my visit.

Canadian Design Bloggers Celebrate

Canadian design bloggers have really got it going on!

Last weekend I had the pleasure to meet and mingle with an amazing group of design bloggers at the Canadian design bloggers meetup held at Brassaii in Toronto. Vitania of Verdigris Vie & Daniella of Dress Design Decor organized a most beautiful event with the help of generous sponsors (IKEA, Delta, CIL, as well as House & Home, Crate & Barrel, Style at Home, Kravet, and Rowenta). The party was full of style.

The very stylish Tommy Smythe shared some photos and stories from his recent trip to Scandinavia and kept the crowd laughing (photos here).

IKEA + prosecco = two of my favourite things

The event was beautifully organized, very well-attended, and it was an inspiring evening to say the least. I’m already looking forward to the next meetup – as I know many of the bloggers I met are too!

Toronto: Nadège

Just before the new year arrived, Johanne and I had a little pre-2011 celebration at Nadège. It was delicious and so very white! Nadège is beautiful, pristine and a breath of French goodness on Toronto’s Queen St. West. The pastries are edible pieces of art and if you sit at the back of the cafĂ© you can watch the bakers at work. We did…and we were amazed at the macaron Christmas trees!

If you’re in Toronto and have a craving for gorgeous French sweets, Nadège is the place for you!

Bon appetit!
