Travel: Beautys in Montreal

Beautys is quite simply the best diner I’ve been to in Montreal. The breakfast food is delicious, the service is friendly and the retro decor is hard to beat. While there we had a lovely chat with Hymie (the original owner) and learned that Beautys was actually Hymie’s bowling nickname. Sweetness!

Beautys - at Mont Royal & Saint Urbain

My friend and I couldn’t narrow down our breakfast choices so in the end we decided to take the easy way out and ordered everything…pancakes, French toast, real maple syrup, bacon, sausage, eggs, bagel, coffee, tea, hash browns, & a bowl of fruit. Needless to say, our meal was glorious. A long walk there and back  made us feel a little less guilty about our morning indulgence.

BeautySmoothies

Have any White Cabana readers been to Beautys? Has anyone tried the Beauty Smoothie?

The Beautys website is currently under construction but the restaurant is very easy to find. It’s located at 93 Avenue du Mont Royal Ouest at Rue Saint Urbain.

Many thanks to Suparna for this breakfast recommendation.

Chocolates for April

It’s April and that means chocolate! (Well…Who am I kidding? Every month means chocolate, doesn’t it?)

Welcome to April!

I love the packaging on these Happy and Sweet chocolate bars by Kanella. Hopefully they taste as good as they look!
