Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my Dad’s birthday and since he is White Cabana’s number one fan (and even made appearances here and here), I thought I’d help celebrate his birthday by sharing some cute photos from his childhood.

Pretty stylin’ for a little guy who grew up in the smallest of small mountain villages in Italy, right? Don’t you just love his little bow tie and sunglasses?

In this photo of Dad, it looks like he went on a bit of a hike…in a suit. As if that would happen these days!

Happy Birthday Dad!

You were as stylish back then as you are now, Mr. G. Have a great birthday!

Well – his style is kind of questionable now (sorry Dad) but yeah, he’s pretty hip in these photos!

Thanks to all for the best wishes!

Small village boy with great travel dreams; bound for CA and at that time I did not know there were 2 CA ( I stopped in the first CA and have never regretted).

Wow! So happy to hear that CA was for Canada, and not California! Happy Birthday, Mr. Garbati! xxx

Johanne – it takes a very creative person to understand my Dad’s special language. Over the years it seems he has created his own coded language which usually requires translation from my mom, my sister or I. Sometimes we have to work together to figure out what he’s trying to say. But look at you – you cracked the CA + CA code in no time! Awesome!

    S. Andrea is a huge metropolis, Bruno. What do you mean a small village boy!!!!!
Happy Belated Birthday. I must say that your fashion sense has evolved over the years to a more casual home style chic!

Ha ha – a metropolis. Not so much. Dad was pretty much a King in that village. Or, at least he likes to tell us he was. He doesn’t get quite the same attention living in Toronto.

Your dad most definitely looks like a little Prince with the cute little bow tie and the sunglasses (are they Ray Ban?)
